I often write about questions from my colleagues and clients. Please send your questions and I’ll answer them here, or write a longer article and include it in my newsletter.
Teams are consistently built on the age-old method of forming, norming, storming, and performing. If you are the new addition, and are the “boss” of the team, you have the additional nuance of not knowing where the bombs are laying. Trust is crucial, kudos to you for recognizing that! Trust is built with day in and day out good communication and being authentically you. Share your vision of the team, ask for their input and thoughts. Be vulnerable and transparent. Do this in person. You’ll start to reap the benefits of trust, and you’ll have the energy to keep going too!
Coaching is forward focused, and looking at developing new skills. Therapy is backward facing and focused on overcoming the past. In coaching we are building new pathways and habits for future success, whether that is in one situation, or throughout your life.
